Roles & Responsibilities
It is important to understand the relationship between the parties:

Ziksana (Platform Provider):
We provide the technology infrastructure (apps, servers, database). We act as a Data Processor, processing data on behalf of your School.

The School (Institution):
Your school is the Data Controller. They determine what data needs to be collected for educational and administrative purposes.

You (The User):
The Student, Teacher, Parent/Guardian, or Transport Staff accessing the service.

Information We Collect
We utilize specific permissions and technologies to provide educational services. Here is a detailed breakdown by application and feature:
Personal Information
We collect data provided by the Institution or you, such as:
- Students: Name, ID, Class, Attendance.
- Teachers/Staff: Employment details, contact info.
- Guardians: Contact details, relationship.
- Drivers: License info, contact details.
Biometric Data
Applies to: Student App
- Usage: Verifying student identity for attendance.
- Privacy: Processed locally on your device. We do NOT upload, store, or share facial recognition templates.
Audio & Microphone
Applies to: Maestro App
- Usage: Recording sessions or dictating notes.
- Privacy: Processed locally for transcription. Raw audio is not stored unless requested.
Location Data
Applies to: All Apps
- Attendance: GPS accessed only at check-in/out.
- Transport: Precise location tracking during active trips for safety and live tracking.
Camera & Media
Used for uploading profile picture, submitting assignments, and scanning QR codes. Media is stored securely on cloud servers.

Financial Information
Applies to: Guardian & Student Apps
We use Stripe and Razorpay to process payments securely. We do NOT store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.

Data is retained as long as the School subscribes. Deletion requests must be directed to your School Administration.
